Issue 001 · Mexico
Mexican food, remembered and cooked with intention.
The Seasoned Eye is a culinary magazine by chef Martha Landeros. We go to the markets, kitchens and family tables of Mexico, write down what we learn, and bring it back to a chef's plate.
Food as art. Art as story.
Every dish in these pages starts with a person: a fruit seller at the tianguis, an aunt with a clay pot, a cook who still grinds chiles by hand. We start with them and work our way to the plate.
